The SC HEART Training Net will meet on Thursday, April 1, 2010, at 9 PM. The net on Thursday, April 8, 2010 will meet at 9 AM. The net will alternate times to give operators more flexibility to check in.
February 25, 2010, the Aiken UHF repeater was installed at Aiken Regional
Hospital, Aiken, SC. The repeater WR4SC, whcih will cover the Aiken County area, is on 441.525 MHz with a PL tone of 91.5. To link to the Aiken repeater
use *58.
December 23, 2009, the second SC HEART D-Star repeater was installed at Awendaw, SC. The repeater WR4SC which will cover the Charleston area is on 145.12 MHz. December 16, 2009, the Ceasar Head UHF repeater link was installed at Paris Mountain. The wide area UHF repeater is on 443.125 with a PL code of 123.0.To link to the K4ECG repeater use *56.
November 19, 2009, the first SC HEART D-Star repeater was installed at Caesars Head, SC. The repeater KR4GSP which will cover the Upstate and parts of GA and NC is on 145.42 Mhz. It is operating on a stand alone basis until the internet connection is installed.
September 1, 2009, the SC HEART system joined the HEARS system in North Carolina. NC HEARS is the North Carolina Hospital Emergency Amateur Radio System, a 7-site UHF amateur radio repeater network. The primary purpose of NC HEARS is to provide a secondary communications network, to facilitate the exchange of non-priority messages between the over twenty hospitals throughout the Charlotte UASI (Urban Area Security Initiative). The repeater network can also be utilized as a primary communications system in the event the local public-safety radio system is inoperable.

The NC HEARS repeaters are normally linked locally so that a connection to *81 will link to all six repeaters through the 440 hub.

August 12, 2009, the SC HEART system joined the CARES system in North Carolina to serve 12 hospitals in Eastern North Carolina and two hospitals in Northeastern South Carolina. The Hospitals are members of the Coastal Carolinas Health Alliance. The gateway is thru the N4ILM repeater on 224.68 MHz with a pl tone of 91.5 Hz. The repeater is linked to other 220 MHz repeaters at Lumberton, Clinton and in the near future Raleigh thru a 440 hub in Clinton.
